City of Oberlin Development Guide
Why a Development Handbook?
City Departments are finalizing
an Oberlin Development Handbook. The
handbook will be a reference tool for maneuvering through the City's development process. The Handbook
will provide you with procedural and contact information, as well as practical advice for negotiating the development process.
Once completed, a reference version
will be listed on this site.

Purpose of
Oberlin's policies, standards, and regulations
The policies, standards, and regulations adopted by the City of
Oberlin work together to help create a strong economy, quality neighborhoods and a pleasing built environment. These policies are supported by the
City's Comprehensive Plan. It will be updated in 2004 and serves as the foundation for the City's development decisions.
|
|
What the Handbook provides
The Handbook will provide an overview of the steps in each of the key development processes, contact information, glossary of key terms, and a list of frequently asked questions. It is to be used as a means of guiding individuals, homeowners, and property owners through the development process. This Handbook does not replace the Zoning Code or Subdivision Regulations, but serves as a summary of the development approval process.
