Council Clerk
The City Clerk’s Office is under the direction of Belinda B. Anderson, who serves at the pleasure of
City Council, keeps its records, makes annual reports on Council proceeding and performs such other duties as are required by
ordinance or resolution.
Biography: Belinda B. Anderson, a lifelong resident of
Oberlin was appointed by Council as the Oberlin City Clerk/Clerk of
Council on May 28, 2007. She is an Oberlin College Alumna and is
currently enrolled in the Ohio and West Virginia Municipal Clerks
Career Development Program at Kent State University. She is
currently a member of the International Institute of Municipal
Clerks (IIMC) and is also an active member of the Ohio Municipal
Clerks Association.
The Clerk also serves in various other capacities including chair of the Oberlin City Records Commission, Record Custodian de facto, and pursuant to Section XVII of the Oberlin City Charter upon call of City Council may serve as City Treasurer.
