Finance Director, Salvatore Talarico CMFA
 Finance
Director since 2000. Prior experience: Deputy
Auditor, City of Parma, Ohio; Experience as bank and
corporate auditor. Married and has two children.
Education: B.B.A., Accounting, Cleveland State University,
1985; Certified Public Finance Administrator.
The Finance Director is responsible for the oversight and management of the Finance Department. The Finance Department is in charge of income tax collections and administration, utility billing, revenue collections, accounts payable processing, payroll processing, financial reporting, treasury and investment management, and debt management.

Mission
The mission of the Finance Department is to provide residents of
Oberlin with a timely and accurate accounting of the City's receipts and disbursements.
The Finance Director, along with various staff assistants, oversee the duties of the
accounting, income tax administration, utility billing,
cash management and investments, debt management, payroll administration, fixed asset reporting, and other financial customer service.
In addition, this department coordinates the annual audit conducted or overseen by the Auditor of State of Ohio of the City's financial statements.
