MISSION/PURPOSE STATEMENT
Oberlin School Farm Collaborative (OSFC) porvides outdoor instruction and laboratory facilities for students and staff of the Lorain County Academy. Lorain County Boys and Girls Club, Oberlin Street Law, and Oberlin City Schools.
VISION
Through real life experience with sustainable agriculture, students receive enhanced education emphasizing their role in the creation of sustainable communities. Through the planning, development, maintenance, and harvest of a garden and farm, students gain knowledge from a variety of disciplines, including the sciences, mathematics, business, law, and entrepreneurship. Working with community members and staff, students produce produce food that can then be used to supply school lunch programs, to provide healthy locally grown snacks for the partner organizations, to donate to community organizations, and to sell to the general public.
