Baseball/Softball Fields:

Field Rental Fees: (Non-lights)

Non-Resident fee: $50.00 per game/per field

Oberlin Resident fee: No fee

The field rental fees are for individual/group(s) that would like to use City facility for a game or practice play.

Field Lighting Fees:

Non-resident fees: $10.00 per hour/per field

Oberlin resident fee: $10.00 per hour/per field

The Field Lighting Fees are for individual/group(s) that would like to use City facility for a game(s) or practice play under the lights. This fee will cover cost that it encumbers with having the sports field lighting on.

Baseball/Softball Tournament – League – Camp Fees

Cancellations:

Percentage of Tournament/League/Camp Fees will be refunded according to the following schedule:

Event cancelled:

    • 60 days or more prior to event 100% returned
    • 30 to 59 days prior to event 50% returned
    • Less than 30 days prior to event 0% returned

Insurance:

Athletic events (on Application for Park Use Form) not directly sponsored by City of Oberlin Recreation Department, a
proof of liability insurance, holding the City harmless, is required.

Field Preparation Fee:

Non-resident fee: $36.00 per field /per prep

Oberlin resident fee: $36.00 per field /prep prep

The field preparation fee will help with the cost to prep a Baseball/Softball field for play. To prep a field for play consists of dragging the field with hand tools and riding equipment, lining a field and setting bases and pitcher’s mound at proper distance for play. This cost is for practice or game(s) played.

Soccer Fields Rental Fees:

Non-resident fee: $25.00 per game /per field(s).

Oberlin resident: No Fees

The Field Rental Fees are for individual/group(s) that would like to use City facility for a game and practice play.

Soccer Tournament – League – Camp Fees

Field Supervisor Fee:

Non-resident’s fee $20.00 per hour

Oberlin residents fee $20.00 per hour

In order to ensure there is adequate supervision of City facilities when organizations that are not co-sponsored by the City of Oberlin rent sports fields, such organizations will be required to cover the cost of a field supervisor to oversee use of the facility during the rental periods.

Fee Adjustments:

It is understood that on occasion special consideration may be needed in determining fees for groups or individuals having circumstances uncommon to those in the fee structure. In these cases, the Recreation Superintendent will review all such request and make fee adjustments recommendation to the City Manager. It is recommended that the City Manager (or designee) be authorized to waive fees for field rental (but not fee associated with direct cost, such as lighting, field preparation, field supervisor. etc.) under the following circumstances:

    • Citizens/group hosting a fund raising game or tournament for charitable purpose.
    • Fundraising game or tournament organized to raise funds to send an Oberlin youth team on a very expensive trip, i.e., Little League World Series or
      international soccer tournament.

Tournament or similar event from outside Oberlin that will bring participants and spectators to Oberlin and result in a minimum of XX verified rooms booked at the Oberlin Inn.
