A community candlelight vigil in observance of the 50th Anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will convene on Tappan Square at the corner of Main and College Streets.

At 7:15 p.m., participants will walk to the Martin Luther King Park at Vine and Pleasant Streets. There will be brief remarks by Kurt Russell, Oberlin High School history teacher, and a closing prayer by the Rev. A.G. Miller.

Inclement weather location is First Church Meeting Room.
